Yesterday at the Oxford University, Gordon Murray design showed their latest invention which is called the T.25 City car. This was mainly designed to make a low-carbon approach to the transportation which makes the validation on the Environment. It is considered to be an major breakthrough among the city cars in terms of efficiency, safety, design, weight, space, usability & footprint. T.25 City car will be making its debut in the markets of Europe and Asia at first. The cost of this eco-friendly car has not yet revealed.
Gordon Murray Design was established in the year 2007 where their main motto was to develop an innovative & disruptive automotive manufacturing technology trademarked iStream. This iStream was the central for the design and prototyping of their latest innovation i.e, the T.25 City car. The assembly of this car is very simple & simplified which has reduced their capital investment by 20%.

Samsung, one of the World's leading mobile phone manufacturer, has now unveiled the world's first 3D display mobile phone. This latest gadget is named as W960 Amoled 3D. This mobile phone is a CDMA mobile phone & not a GSM one. We can turn on & off the 3D phone by using a key option.


W960 Amoled 3D has the following features, a 2-inch touch display which has WQVGA resolution, it's been powered by TouchWiz 2.0, has an auto focus camera of 3.2 megapixel, supports Bluetooth connectivity, DMB-T TV tuner, 3G support with HSPA, microSD card slot.


Right now, W960 Amoled 3D is available in the markets of South Korea only. The price of this latest gadget has not yet announced. It is believed that this mobile phone will be available for shipping from next month.

Researchers from Germany have come up with a new technology where our eyes will guide & control the cars. On friday, Raul Rojas who is an artificial intelligence researcher from Berlin's Free University said that this new technology tracks down the driver's eye movement & steers the car according to the direction where they are looking. At the intersections the car will stop & wait for the guidance given by the driven on which way to proceed. It will scan for the drivers eye for few second, upon the drivers desired direction the car will take turn & proceeds. This team presented the technology packed prototype at an airport in Berlin.
Right now this new technology has been designed to drive the car up to 31mph. Raul Rojas further said that the next step will be to upgrade the technology to drive it up to 60mph. He's next aim is to drive the technology packed car in a city where there will be obstacles & pedestrians are added to this test.
They have added 2 big external emergency buttons which has been placed at the rear of the car. This will allow the people outside to shut down all the systems.

Researchers Yoon Jae Seong and coauthors from Seoul National University have developed Hydra which takes the advantage of parallelism from multiple flash memory chips. They used various design methods to implement this technique. In the upcoming issue of IEEE transactions on computers, the research study will be published.
They have come up with the Hydra architecture which will efficiently be using the concept of  parallelism inherent in multiple flash memory chips. Hydra will help a lot to improve some of the troublesome shortcomings of NAND flash chips, which were designed primarily for bulk storage applications.
Using the new architecture, Hydra can operate on multiple chips simultaneously, which helps to increase the speed & also four 40MB/s buses when combined together can achieve a collective bandwidth of 160 MB/s. It also eliminates idle time that occur during data transfer.

Recently Pioneer Computers Australia released its latest All-in-One Computer which is called as Dream Vision D-Ion. The best part about this new product is that its configuration which takes our breath out. Dream Vision D-Ion has Intel Atom 330 dual core processor of 1.6 Gigahertz, has up to 4GB DDR2 of memory, has a built-in graphics card which is GeForce 9400. It come with an option, we can either have a DVD burner or Blu-ray drive in it. It has a hard disk drive of up to 1TB or 256GB solid state drive. Dream Vision D-Ion computer has a 22" multi-touch LCD display which has a resolution of 1920 X 1080. Additional features include a 1.3 Mega-pixel webcam, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth connectivity, it also has a built-in 3-in-1 card reader in it. 


DreamVision D-Ion comes with an Windows 7 installed in it. The price of this latest All-in-One Computer starts from USD 999.

Sony Ericsson has added a new phone to the XPERIA series smartphones, it is XPERIA X10. Similar to the other XPERIA handsets, even this new set will be having Android Mobile Operating System in it. XPERIA X10 comes with the latest Android 1.6 Mobile Operating System installed in it.

Two new series has been added to Sony Vaio E series laptops. They are Vaio E Series 14" and Vaio E Series 17" ultra slim laptops. These latest Sony Vaio E series laptops features blue-ray technology & comes in different colors.

Nvidia have come up with a new graphic card which is named as GeForce GTX480 graphic card. This new graphic card performs 2X times faster than its previously released one GeForce GTX285. It also features the latest DirectX 11 graphics. GeForce GTX480 DirectX 11 GPU's perform better than the AMD GPU's. The codename for Nvidia's GeForce GTX480 is given as "fermi". Experts say that Nvidia GeForce GTX480 performs 10 to 20% better than AMD Radeon 5870.

Intel has planned to add a new processor to the core i3 family, it is Intel Core i3 550 Processor. The core speed is faster than its previous versions. The clock speed of the Core i3 550 Processor is 3.2 GHz with 4Mb cache memory in it. This processor supports 1333 DDR3 Memory, it has 2 cores with 4 threads, 733 MHz graphics, 73W TDP & Intel clear video technology. This new core i3 550 processor has the capability to support latest turbo boost overclocking feature. This new processor will be launched in the market within the end of the second quarter of 2010.

A new Smart book was released by In-oh Yoo & Sun- woong which has Android or Google Chrome operating system. This latest smart book has a 7” touchscreen display with a foldable, portable, and detachable physical keyboard along with a camera which is been placed on its back. It also compromises of an additional microphone which can be used make calls.

A new Cooling pad for laptop has been introduced which removes much of heat very efficiently. The cost of this cooling pad is 980 pesos. It is Idock C2 Cooling Pad, this cooling pad has an design of ergonomic which has 3 fans in it. These fans are adjustable so that it sets cooling for your laptop, hence the cooling is done very efficiently. This fan uses only 5V DC supply & consumes around 0.9W, it has dimension 70X70X15mm with an air flow of 30CFM±10%, a noise level of less than 23DBA.

The US Pentagon's Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency (DARPA) is now developing a radar system that sees around corners & down into urban canyons. With just using a few uncrewed aircrafts, the agency could track vehicles across an entire city. So, the key to this is that they will be using the buildings as mirrors which will help them to identified a targetted vehicle due to radar reflections. This system is call Multipath Exploitation Radar.

They are aiming to combine the received radar data with a 3D map so that they can calculate how the radar reflects off & between vehicles & buildings. They also anticipate that using these reflected radar would cover more ground than a normal radar which will be able to monitor a city of about 1000 square kms. The frequencies used would be between 12 & 18 GHz.

Japan have geared up to send their first working solar sail into deep space within a couple of months. A Society called The Planetary Society is moving farther with its own solar-sail project.

The executive director of The Planetary Society has told that, it will be ready by the end of 2010 but probably the launch vehicle will not be available until the first part of 2011.

LightSail-1 (image which is at right side) consists of 3 cubesats at the center of 4 lightweight triangular sails. The total weight will be less than 5 kilograms i.e, 11 pounds.

Now they have been looking for the right rocket because LightSail-1 has to be deployed at a height of atleast 800 kms i.e, 500 miles into the orbit else any propulsive effect from the sunlight would make it fail due to atmospheric drag.

David Fisher at the Geological Survey of Canada in Ottawa, and colleagues have said that Rockets can be fueled using Mars glacier lubricant. Normally ice is too cold to flow, but when winds carry salty soil particles to ice cap, they might gradually sink to form a briny bed which is kept in the liquid state due to the warmness of the planet. when this liquid flows towards lower temperature they would freeze forming a ring of concentrated salt. This might be used as a component of Solid rocket fuel when mined.

Jack Holt at the University of Texas, Austin said that "the team has found the patterns in radar maps, however, the probe's radar has not found any signs of brine formation yet. We could be missing something, but as of now there is no evidence for anything wet at the base".
