Samsung Galaxy Tab is much smaller in size when compared to that of iPad. This is done because they want the device to be more portable and handy. Galaxy Tab weighs just 380 grams which is half in size that of Apple's iPad.
The features of this latest Android tablet is, it has a 7-inch touch screen with a resolution of 1024x600 pixels, tablet's touch sensitivity is very quick which means it responds very quickly to the touch, the display screen is very bright which helps in easy visibilty of the text and can be read easily, the processor used in this gadget is a ARM based processor A8 manufactured by Cortex which has the processing speed of 1.0GHz, has a PowerVR SGX540 graphics processor, It comes with an internal memory of either 16GB or 32GB which is supplemented by a microSD port that helps to accommodate flash cards of up to 32GB more.
Other features include, it supports 802.11 a, b, g, and n but not Wi-Fi connectivity, while coming to the cell networks, it supports 2.5G (GSM / GPRS / EDGE technology) and 3G (HSUPA at 5.76Mbps and HSDPA at 7.2Mbps), it supports bluetooth earpieces,
As of now Samsung has not told anything about the pricing of this latest Android tablet but it has said that the price will be competitive. But according to me the price will be little cheaper as the tablet is smaller in size. Samsung will start shipping its Galaxy Tab in late september.
