Google Inc. has now given people more control on how their inboxes are organized. On Wednesday, this new option was announced which will allow users to organize their inboxes according to their preference. If an user wants his inbox to be arranged according to the chronological order, he can choose the option accordingly or if he wants his e-mails to be threaded together as part of the same e-mail conversation, he can choose accordingly.

In the month end of July, Gmail ended with nearly 186 million worldwide users which is about 22% increase in users when compared to the same time a year ago. On the other hand Microsoft's Windows Live Hotmail touched nearly 346 million users worldwide and Yahoo's e-mail touched 202 million users. But Gmail has gained a rapid growth when compared to the other two e-mail services.

Dell Inc. which one among the leading manufacturers of the laptops in the world is now come up with their latest technology gadget called as Dell Inspiron Duo. In my previous post i had discussed about the Dell Inspiron M501R and its features and the cost of that gadget. Some days back, Dell unveiled its latest high technology and a very powerful gadget, Dell Inspiron Duo. The major feature of this latest gadget is that, it can be used as a Netbook and at the same time it can be used as an Tablet PC.


Dell Inspiron Duo has got an 10-inch swivel touchscreen display which can be rotated up to 180 degrees backwards and by this Netbook switches to Tablet PC. This processor used in this gadget is Intel's Dual Core Atom N550 processor. It has got an DDR3 (Double Data rate) memory of 2GB. This latest gadget comes with an pre-installed Operating System i.e, Microsoft's Windows 7.


Dell has said that this convertible gadget will be available in the markets later this year. As of now they not given any information regarding the pricing of this latest technology gadget.

Dell has recently introduced its latest laptop which comes under Inspiron series which is called as Inspiron M501R. This latest gadget uses an AMD Phenom II X4 N930 Quad Core processor and has an 15.6-inch display, has got an HDD (Hard Disk Drive) of 500GB, 4GB of RAM DDR3 (Double Data Rate) that can be extended up to 8GB, is equipped with an graphics card of ATI Mobility Radeon HD550.

According to me this configuration looks pretty good. The best part is the cost, which is very economical and is within the range. Definitely i would suggest my friends to go for this because for the same configuration, i spent $948 on Acer Aspire 5740G.

Google Inc. which is the world's largest web service provider are now very much concerned about the providing additional security to their account holders. On Monday, Google Inc. introduced an additional security measure where a six-digit code has to be entered after providing the Google password. The required six-digit code will be sent to the account holders mobile phones respectively. Which makes a two-step login to get into an Google account.

Initially, this additional security measure will be applicable only to government agencies and companies which has be subscribed to the Google services that provides e-mail system and other office applications. This additional security is also applicable to some schools which relies on Google to run their e-mail system.

The free Gmail service that is been provided by company does not come under this additional security for now. But Google is working on the security codes part for the free Gmail service which will become a part of the login process and it will be introduced after few months making the entire Google services to be more secure and making very difficult to hack the system.

According to me this additional security will not be a big deal for the hackers. Only thing is it will be a bit tougher to hack the system.

According to the researchers from comScore Inc. a new research data was published saying that U.S. web surfers are spending their time in the popular socializing website, Facebook when compared to other sites like Google, Yahoo etc.,

In the month of August, people spent around 41.1 million minutes on Facebook which is about 9.9% of their web surfing minutes for the month. On the other hand, people who spent surfing the Google Inc's websites that includes Google search, Gmail, YouTube, Google news and so on spent only 39.8 million minutes in total which was about 9.6% minutes spent in total. Facebook has just surpassed Google by 0.3%.

In July, Facebook surpassed Yahoo for the first time and now Google thereby putting Facebook at the first place in terms of time spent on browsing. Yahoo is remains at third position where U.S. web users spent 37.7 million minutes on Yahoo Inc. sites which is around 9.1%.

A year back, web surfers spent their browsing time less than 5% on Facebook which was almost same percentage as Google but Yahoo was leading one which was just over 12%.

Samsung Electronics which is one of the leading mobile phone manufacturers in the world based in South Korea has said that, it has now launched its latest smartphone Galaxy S in China. This launch was done to catch up with the Nokia who is the global leader in the mobile market.
